At Brennan Behavior Group, our group therapies are designed to help kids, adolescents, and young adults build effective skills and strengthen their confidence while connecting with their peers. The groups provide the opportunity to learn and practice the skills while receiving individualized coaching and feedback from the trained therapists.

PALS 2.0 Social Skills

PALS 2.0 Social Skills

Social skills development is not just for those diagnosed with a disability or a specific group of children, adolescents or young adults. Social skills group therapy can be for anyone!

Clients participate in fun and dynamic games, activities, team work challenges, art projects, conversations, discussions and improvisational acting. Groups are fun, engaging, and exciting so that group members are connecting with each other and enjoying themselves. The goal is to create as much of a natural environment as possible to ensure the likelihood of generalization of skills, the use of skills and feedback from group when they are at school or with their friends.

During our groups, we coach our clients on skills in a safe and supportive environment where we can give helpful feedback. Skills are based on age, developmental level and group goals.

Mission: POSSIBLE

Mission: POSSIBLE

Progress Updates: Monthly report cards track your child's improvement in fluency challenges and behavior goals. We also offer open houses for parents to observe sessions and discuss progress.

Mission: Possible is a program by Brennan Behavior Group designed to enhance executive functioning skills in children with ADHD. It’s not a tutoring service, but an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program focused on improving attention and academic independence. Each child has personalized goals but participates in a group format.

Daily Group Format:

  • Homework Time: The first 20 minutes focus on helping students work independently on their homework. We aim to improve their ability to start, stop, and organize their work, using "To Do Lists" as a tool. Please ensure your child brings homework or study work to each session.

  • Fluency Challenges: Each student has individualized goals in math, reading, and writing, aimed at improving speed and maintaining quality. Students should be able to share their goals and progress with you.

  • Active Listening: This activity uses fun games to enhance your child's ability to focus, listen, and respond in real-time. Story time is also included to build these skills.

  • Following Directions: We work on following and executing 1, 2, and 3-step directions, with the goal of improving both retention and execution.

  • Fun Time: The last 5 minutes are for play, rewarding students for their hard work.
